Amalio Hidalgo began his career in the LPG industry in 1995 and has extensive LPG trading and management experience. This includes fruitful years managing key trading desks at Neste Oil, followed by setting up the LPG physical and derivative proprietary trading desk at Morgan Stanley and overseeing the West of Suez LPG Trading at Vitol. Amalio returned to his native Madrid in 2010 to establish the LPG trading desk at Vilma, successfully leading the team to achieve solid results.

Joseph (Joe) Alfonso, Director & Singapore’s book leader joined Vilma Oil as Director of the Singapore office in 2015 to lead the team’s development of the Asian market. Prior to his appointment at Vilma Oil, Joe developed his extensive network and relationships, deep market knowledge and negotiating skills at Poten & Partners, where over 25 years in New York, London & Singapore, he progressed through roles in operations, consulting, broking and senior management roles.

Billy Chiu has been with BW since 1985 and has more than 30 years of experience in the shipping industry. Chiu’s current role as EVP oversees the Quality and Compliance department, Internal Audit, Dry Cargo business, Group Crewing Services and Asset Management teams.

Kristian has more than 25 years’ experience in the LPG shipping industry. During his long and varied career, he has held senior roles at a range of leading maritime companies including as CEO of Fearnleys shipbrokers and Avance Gas, where he honed his expertise in strategic leadership and commercial and operational management. As CEO of BW LPG, he is responsible for steering the company’s strategic direction, overseeing its global operations, and driving growth in the LPG shipping industry.

Samantha is a finance executive with over 20 years of experience in the shipping and energy sectors. During her wide-ranging career, she has held senior positions across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East at leading companies including A.P. Moller-Maersk, Odfjell, J. Lauritzen, and Royal Vopak, where she was Finance Director prior to joining BW LPG. She brings a wealth of expertise in financial and risk management, project management, board governance, and mergers and acquisitions.
