At BW LPG, we value diversity in all its forms and are committed to fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion. Our collective sum of individual differences, knowledge and experience is not only a part of our culture, but also allows us to better understand and meet customer needs. It also allows us to create a workplace environment where employees can perform to their fullest potential, which ultimately drives better financial performance. 

Awareness and Understanding

We have year-round awareness communication and employee engagements to foster a culture where diversity is embraced. This includes observing international days such as International Women’s Day, Mental Health Awareness Month and World Day for Safety and Health at Work to build a respectful and safe work environment onshore and in our offices.

We also review our policies on a regular basis, to ensure our policies remain relevant as expectations evolve. For example, in a first for BW LPG, we introduced a Maternity Leave Policy in 2023, reinforcing our commitment to the well-being and support of our seafarers and their families.

We remain committed to fostering, cultivating and preserving a culture of inclusion and diversity at BW LPG.

Gender representation is a particular element of diversity that we support. As the shipping industry has traditionally been a male-dominated industry, it is important that we encourage more women to join the business. BW LPG fosters a safe and equal workplace for women at sea and on shore. 

A work environment built on the premise of inclusion and equality encourages and enforces:
